I recently visited the fabulous and new Pianodrome in Edinburgh for a journey of connection and creative discovery. An amazing venue with pretty amazing people. Built entirely from pianos! I loved it.

The reason I went was to meet other creative souls and build a special lighting installation. The venue offered up a beautiful old Collard & Collard grand piano, albeit by accident! A magnificent Victorian rosewood instrument that had lost its way. After a day of creative mind bending it was destined to become something new, extravagant and unique.

"Into the Light" then - a sculptural transformation to promote the awakening of hidden, creative potential. New light and life to a forgotten soul destined for decay. Or worse.

Definitely somewhere to sit and ponder. Tim, one of the founding directors, described the light as "an outrageous audacity and triumph." I'll take that. What a fantastic experience. I'm hoping to return soon.
